In 1920, Zujiro Matsuda buys the bankrupt cork wood company Abemaki and organizes Toyo Cork Kogyo, which is the founder of Mazda Corporation. In 1927, the company changed its name to Toyo Kogyo Ltd and started manufacturing motorcycles and industrial machines.
